ABOUT AMSTECOS

Parkdean was the first Nursing Home to open its doors in May1984 with Maureen Macklin as the then Matron.  From this day onwards, Amstecos has prided itself on a 'home away from home' approach. As a family run organisation, Amstecos has always adopted an inclusive and friendly atmosphere for residents, next of kin, staff and management alike. This ethos underpins our mission to provide high-quality care and support to your loved ones. 

Ambassador Nursing Home opened its doors in1986 to provide additional care options to residents in the Belfast Area.  Next came El Shammah Residential Home, which Amstecos acquired in 2009 offering Residential Care in the Lisburn area.  Most recently, Parkside Nursing Home adjoined to El Shammah Residential Home in 2016, completing the group of Amstecos Homes.  Each of our Homes have undergone renovation works in recent years with extensive building work carried out to modernise the buildings whilst maintaining the homely atmosphere. 

Our staff work tirelessly to maintain this informal and cordial feel which relatives have commended us for over the past 40 years.  Whilst each of our Homes differ in appearance and location, the same ethos remains throughout – to deliver the best care we can and to ensure everyone feels at home in our Homes.
